Bowls Singapore (hereinafter referred to as “The Association”) is the National Sport Association for Lawn Bowls under the Singapore Sports Council. It is registered with the Registry of Societies in Singapore and is affiliated to the Singapore National Olympic Council, Asia Lawn Bowls Federation and World Bowls Board.

History
The Association was founded 1996 with 12 founding club members. The first public lawn bowl green was constructed in Kallang Sports Complex next to the Tennis Centre with artificial green surface instead of normal grass lawn. The green has been using for practice, training and competitions since then. Due to wear and tear, it was closed for re-surfacing in December 2003. It was re-opened for use in 4 th January 2004 .

Since 1999, The Association organized trainings on how to play lawn bowls, friendly games and National Tournaments, including a league game sponsored by Tuas Power Ltd as an inter-club event for men and ladies bowlers.
